The promotions for Jagga Jasoos have begun in style. Since their movie is unique, the Jagga Jasoos team has decided to promote their movie in a unique fashion. Ranbir had recently revealed that he and Katrina would promote the movie in style. Katrina had also commented that she would totally co-operate with the makers of the movie to in all their marketing strategies. It seems the team has zeroed in on some special techniques and this sure looks like a good start.
Jagga Jasoos is written and directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by Basu and Ranbir Kapoor. The film features Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, and tells the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father. The film is scheduled to be released on 14 July.
Ranbir had spoken about the movie saying, “With Jagga Jasoos, Anurag Basu is trying to bring in a new genre of films to Bollywood. And it’s very interesting for me as an actor to play a young detective who stammers and is on his way to find his stepfather. It’s on the landscape of an adventure film like Indiana Jones or Tintin. My character stammers throughout the film. The only time he doesn’t stammer is when he sings. So it has been a really challenging role for me. There are more than 15 songs in the film. It’s a musical so each scene is a song."
The movie has been delayed many a time. Katrina recently attributed this confusion to Anurag Basu's eccentricity and genius. However, seems like all is well in the Jagga Jasoos world now as the movie is all set to release in style. All eyes are on the box office to see how this one will fare.
