The Arjun Kapoor - Shraddha Kapoor starrer Half Girlfriend released to a good response last Friday. The movie got off to a decent start at the box office by collecting Rs 10.27 crore on its opening day. Half Girlfriend, which released on Friday in 2500 screens across India, is an adaptation of author Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name. 

The team thus decided to celebrate their success with a bash. The lead pair of the movie came together to ring in their success with their team. See here are Arjun and Shraddha, posing for the shutterbugs. While Arjun looked handsome in black and grey, Shraddha looked pretty in a black dress. 

Karan Johar also attended the bash. KJO, who rang in his birthday in style yesterday, looked serious as he posed for the cameras.

Others seen at the bash were Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt, Mohit Suri, Udita Goswami, Shamita Shetty, Chetan Bhagat and Tusshar Kapoor among others.

Arjun had spoken about the film saying, "The audience is more open to giving the film space and time to enjoy what it is meant for rather than having preconceived notions. I feel the audience is the most important part of filmmaking because at the end of the day, you are making a film for them and not for a limited bunch of people who call themselves critics."

He added: "I feel really happy when my film works at the box office because eventually, good box office numbers is the barometer of success for any film. If people are buying tickets at the box office, then why should I feel negativity around me? I thrive on positivity in life rather than negativity."
