PHOTOS: An injured Ranveer Singh clicked at Lilavati hospital post treatment

Ranveer Singh has been busy with the shoot of his Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie Padmavati. The movie, which also features Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, has been in the news for some time now, for its stellar cast and controversial storyline. However, it is much awaited and said to be one of the biggest movies of the year.

Thought things have been running smoothly for Ranveer on the Padmavati front, the actor, who is playing Alauddin Khilji in the movie, suffered a minor accident on the sets. That's right, while shooting for the climax of the film, Ranveer injured himself right on the head. The injury needed immediate medical attention. However, the actor who is known to be a perfectionist, continued shooting for the scene, much to everyone's surprise. 

A source close to the actor said, “Ranveer hurt himself on the head while shooting for the film during a particular take but he was so engrossed in the performance that he did not realise it till cut was called. It was only after he started bleeding profusely from the head did everyone realise that he was hurt so badly. Ranveer received initial first aid on the set and was rushed immediately to a nearby hospital for treatment. Not only that, he completed the treatment and returned to the film's set to complete his portions of the shoot. Ranveer did not want the injury to slow him down or impact the shoot. Rarely do you see a star with such dedication and commitment."

Apparently, playing Alauddin Khilji has been very demanding for Ranveer both physically and emotionally, given the role’s negative and villainous nature.
