Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna are clicked here at Karan Johar's birthday bash in Mumbai today. While Akshay looked dapper in a white tee, Twinkle looked lovely in a blue dress. 

Karan Johar's birthday bash saw the who's who of Bollywood attend it. All bigwigs of Bollywood including Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sussanne Khan, Sonali Bendre, Varun Dhawan, Natasha Dalal, Sidharth Malhotra, and Alia Bhatt attended the grand bash. 

Karan, the son of acclaimed producer Yash Johar, made his directorial debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. He also directed films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. Karan's counter-terrorism drama My Name Is Khan was appreciated by critics and audiences alike. 

He last directed Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. 

2017 started with a bang when it was announced that Akshay Kumar would be starring in a film which would be co-produced by Salman Khan and Karan Johar. The movie will be directed by Anurag Singh and is slated for a 2018 release. 
 
Akshay had said about the project, "This is the first time that a big actor like himself asked the other actor to sign a film and to do a film. It only happens in Hollywood. It hasn't happened here. I have never come across anything like this. So, I think it is a great thing and if it goes successful then this can become a trend. Hats off to that man to come up with the fact, to put his own money on the other actor."
