Cannes 2017: Deepika Padukone stuns in these close up shots on Day 1

Deepika Padukone has kick-started her much awaited Cannes 2017 journey. The pretty actress had mentioned recently that it all seems so unreal. Deepika will be walking the Red Carpet at the 70th Cannes Film Festival today and tomorrow.

Earlier in the day, the actress kept herself busy with interviews and media interactions. She was spotted in a couple of looks and she looked breathtakingly beautiful. While she chose a red printed maxi dress by Johanna Ortiz for one of the interviews, she did a minimalistic look in a Galvan London dress for another. Both the looks received a thumbs up from the fashion police and we can't wait to see what our Padmavati heroine will choose for the red carpet. 

Deepika had earlier commented about her Cannes outfits saying, "We have started planning. There is too much focus on clothes. It should be fun. As a woman, we enjoy being ready and all of that. Clothes are exciting but there is more to it. It is something that my team is working on."

She had said about the whole journey, "I cannot believe this is happening. It is every girl's dream. I think I am looking forward to all of it. Have been to Cannes before. There's something about the place. There is a lot of positivity there. Watching some exciting film."

Deepika will be walking for an international cosmetic brand, which Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been representing for many years now. All eyes are on Deepika to see how she will fare at her Cannes debut for the brand.
