Toilet: Ek Prem Katha - Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar meet Railway minister Suresh Prabhu

Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu shared photos of his meeting with Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar.

Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar have kickstarted the promotions of their upcoming movie Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Bhumi had taken to Twitter to announce it and said, "With a lot of pride we start our journey to bring our Prem Katha to you.It all begins today."

The duo met Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu and he shared photos of the meeting on his Twitter account.

He said, "Pleasure meeting @akshaykumar, fine actor, wonderful human being.Appreciate his efforts to spread awareness abt #SwachhBharat through cinema."

To this, Akshay replied, "Thank you so much for your kind words and time, Sir. Looking forward to associating and making a difference  #SwachchAzaadi."

Akshay recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi too and had a shared a picture of the meeting on his Twitter account. 

About the meeting, Akshay had said, "Met PM @narendramodi and got the opportunity to tell him about my upcoming 'Toilet-Ek Prem Katha.' His smile at just the title made my day!"

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha will be releasing on August 11, 2017, and will be clashing with Imtiaz Ali's next which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. 

About the clash, Akshay had told a leading tabloid, "My film is coming on August 11 because it's a big date and an opportune time. Besides, Independence Day, there is another holiday in the same week. Such long weekends can easily take two big releases.Ghayal and Dil clashed, as did Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and Lagaan."
