Salman Khan divulges details on why the first song from Tubelight is called The Radio Song.
Salman Khan starrer Tubelight's first track has been released and it is already getting all the love from the fan army.
The song called The Radio Song was launched at an event in Dubai, where the actor is currently shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar's Tiger Zinda Hai along with Katrina Kaif.
The song is already out on the digital platforms. But do you guys know, how the name of the song was decided?
During the launch, Salman Khan revealed the reason why the first song from the film is called The Radio Song.
He informed that the song is about celebration. “We get the good news that my brother is alive and coming back. That is the reason why the song is there….and we receive the good news through the radio, so that is why the song is called The Radio Song.”
Director Kabir Khan further added, “As Salman said this is a celebratory song, an end-of-the-war song. It is set in 1962, so the radio is essentially the only means through which news could be obtained. Everything in life – news, entertainment came through radio. So, radio plays an essential role in the film.”
Tubelight is set against the backdrop of the Indo-China war.
The track, which is a celebratory song in the film, has been shot on a very large scale. The song has the touch of the 60s and Kabir Khan had organised 200 dancers and about 800 juniors to be part of the song along with Salman Khan.
Tubelight first teaser was released on May 4 and will hit the theatres on June 23.
