Photos: Asha Parekh and Helen add their old world charm to The Kapil Sharma Show

We have seen many stars gracing the popular TV comedy show, The Kapil Sharma Show. However, today was truly special as golden girls Asha Parekh and BFF Helen graced the show and sprinkled their old world charm. The veteran stars had a blast on the show and were as much, if not more, sporting as their younger counterparts.

Asha Parekh was there to promote her biography The Hit Girl, which released recently. It was launched in Mumbai by none other than Salman Khan, and in Delhi by Aamir Khan. Salman also penned the foreword for Ms Parekh's book. He wrote, "They don't make them like her anymore. Perhaps that is stating the obvious but my generation and the later ones have missed out on the great era f our movies when stories of innocence and grace ruled the screen, when boy-met-girl stories were wonderful, feel-good entertainers. No compromises, no need for self-publicity 24x7, no catering to a single screen or a multiplex audience."

Asha Parekh also spoke to Pinkvilla about her book recently. She had said, "Khalid Mohamed convinced me to write the book. I feel autobiographies should be written when you're retiring and there's so much to talk about as you've been working for so many years then. It becomes more interesting and there's more material to go in the autobiography."
