Photos: Shraddha and Arjun show their crackling chemistry at Half Girlfriend book launch event

Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor are seen here at the book launch event of Chetan Bhagat's Half Girlfriend. Shraddha and Arjun, along with their team, spoke to the media collected there. The lead stars of the movie had a blast and displayed some crackling chemistry. 

Half Girlfriend movie is based on this novel by Chetan Bhagat. The film is directed by Mohit Suri and features Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles.  The team shot for the film in the picturesque locales of Delhi, Patna, Dumraon, Varanasi, New York City, and Cape Town. It is scheduled for a worldwide release on 19 May.

Director Mohit got emotional while explaining why he chose the particular story for his movie. He said, "Reading this book was a personal milestone for me. I am not a very relegious person but I remember I was in Kolkata for a shoot and I got someone from the production to take the book to Kali Ghat and get the blessings and prasad. Now, when I open the book and I see the whole journey just came back. I am not a person who usually gets emotional but it has truly been a really long journey. And if I want to give credit to anyone for this, it will definitely be Chetan. Chetan saw something in me and came to me when the book was in that stage."

Earlier, Arjun had said, "I have never read a Chetan Bhagat book in my life. But yes, I have worked on two films adapted from his novels. I think I never faced any problem on that because none of my directors suggested me to read them and those scripts were pretty substantial for me to understand the character."
