Photos: Busy bee Ranveer Singh gets papped in the city

Ranveer Singh looks hot and handsome in his Padmavati avatar as he gets clicked by the paps in the city. The actor, who was heading towards his car, gave a quick pose for the shutterbugs before rushing in and heading out. Ranveer was sporting a military jacket and a bandana and looked cool as usual. 

Padmavati is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and jointly produced by Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The film features Deepika Padukone in the title role as Rani Padmini, alongside Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. It is currently scheduled for release on 17 November.

Though DeepVeer fans were excited for this movie, team Padmavati revealed that there will be absolutely no scenes between Ranveer and Deepika in the movie. The team experienced some vandalism from the public on a couple of occasions and therefore made it clear that Alauddin Khilji aka Ranveer Singh and Rani Padmavati aka Deepika Padukone will not even share a dream sequence in the movie. 

Shahid Kapoor on the other hand plays Deepika's husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in the movie. Shahid had spoken about his role saying, "When you are playing a King, you need to have a certain personality. At that time, the people used to not be very skinny and lean, so you need to have a manly personality. Basically for that, and to carry those outfits also, Sanjay sir wants me to be a little muscular and a little full. But I will be gaining weight in terms of muscle and not in terms of fat."
