Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor celebrate their National Award win on the sets of Padman

National Film Award- Check. Delicious chocolate cake- Check. Champagne- Check. A great company to celebrate- Check.

Well, Sonam Kapoor and Akshay Kumar ticked off all the above points when they decided to celebrate their win of the National Film Awards.

Sonam and Akshay, who are currently filming Padman together, decided to do a little celebration on the sets of the film after collecting their National Award in the national capital yesterday.

In the newly acquired pictures, Sonam and Akshay can be seen relishing the delicious cake while the champagne awaits to be opened.

Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja won two awards at the 64th National Film Awards including Best Feature Film in Hindi and also including a Special Mention for Sonam.

Apart from scooping the National Award, Neerja also scored several big awards throughout the year.

Sonam will soon be seen in Veere Di Wedding along with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Swara Bhaskar.

Akshay, on the other hand, won his first ever National Film Award for his role in Rustom.

Akshay’s wife Twinkle Khanna also joked about him winning a National Award saying that she can now officially refer Akshay as her trophy husband.

Akshay Kumar had a great year with his films like Airlift, Houseful 3, Rustom and Jolly LLB 2, thoroughly entertaining the audience and also performing stupendously well at the box-office.

The Bollywood superstar will next be seen in Padman which is being produced by his wife Twinkle Khanna and another movie with Bhumi Pednekar called Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
