We saw our Bollywood beauties Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra stun at the Met Gala 2017 held yesterday. While Deepika chose a gorgeous, backless, silk, ivory slip dress style gown by Tommy Hilfiger, Priyanka went for a bolder look with an unusual, over-sized trench coat style Ralph Lauren ensemble. While we loved both the looks, let us check out how our stars fared in the international fashion circuits.

Priyanka Chopra's look termed: BOLD

Priyanka Chopra received some pretty good feedback for her bold fashion statement at the Met Gala.

The Guardian described Priyanka's look as:

"Another look designed to stylishly break the internet, this time from Priyanka Chopra. This Ralph Lauren frock takes the mega-train and slipping-off-the-shoulder vibes of Rihanna’s now-infamous Omelette dress ( citation: the Met Ball 2015) and combines it with one of the most on-trend items du jour – the trench coat. Into it."

Glamour magazine quoted, "Priyanka Chopra, just stepped onto the red carpet at the Met Gala 2017 wearing what literally is the longest trench coat we’ve ever seen—and gave a whole new meaning to the classic spring staple. Practical? Meh. But it is fierce as hell. The coat-dress hybrid was a custom creation by Ralph Lauren and had a train that trailed for countless feet behind her. From the front, the double-breasted closure still managed to reveal enough to be interesting, with a down-to-there neckline and a thigh-high slit, which showed off heeled midcalf booties."

US Magazine reported, "Chopra needed multiple people to hold the train on her gown as she made her way up the stairs of the museum. When she spread out the train for photos, it took up several square feet of the red carpet. At one point, the Baywatch actress posed with Nick Jonas, who wore Ralph Lauren Purple Label and had to take extra care not to step on Chopra's dress."

Deepika Padukone's look termed: SAFE

Though Deepika's look did not make such a huge statement, it was also appreciated for its simple styling.

Vogue reported that our Ms Padukone erred on the side of caution saying, "Trust Padukone to pull off a deceptively-difficult satin slip gown with zero effort. The almost-bridal look by Tommy Hilfiger was accented with minimal embellishments on the straps and hemline. Padukone also opted for diamond earring and star-shaped hair accessories. Unlike Chopra’s made-for-a-dramatic-entrance trench gown, Padukone erred on the side of caution for her Met Gala debut, favouring a pared-down, minimalistic look and the tried-and-trusted slicked-back bun."
