Met Gala 2017: Check out these priceless pics of Deepika Padukone bonding with Emily Ratajkowski

Deepika Padukone made her grand debut at the Met Gala 2017 today. The gorgeous xXx actress stunned in a backless, silk, ivory slip dress style gown by Tommy Hilfiger. While we loved Deepika's look in the gorgeous number, we are more in awe of the actress's friendly  camaraderie with her Hollywood counterparts.

She is seen clicking selfies with the beautiful Emily Ratajkowski, the American model and actress who rose to fame in 2013 after appearing in the music video for Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines, which became the number one song of the year in several countries. Ratajkowski is an advocate for women's health issues as a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood and supports the right of women to express their sexuality.

Deepika's look at the grand do was termed as sweet and 'safe' by fashion police. The actress, who was recently seen in her first ever Hollywood flick xXx Return of Xander Cage, will resume working on her Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie Padmavati after heading back home. The movie also features Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. 

The Met Gala red carpet is one of the high profile fashion events of the year that happens on the first Monday of May every year. This year, the gala celebrated the opening of the Costume Institute’s exhibition, Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between. Katy Perry was the cohost and cochair at the do, which was attended by the who's who of Hollywood and fashion circuits.
