Arjun Kapoor and Saiyami Kher attend the prayer meet of Sonam Kapoor’s late grandmom

Arjun Kapoor offered his prayers and condolences at the prayer meet of Sonam Kapoor’s maternal grandmother in Mumbai today.

Mirzya actress Saiyami Kher also expressed her grief at the prayer meet. Sonakshi Sinha’s mother Poonam Sinha also attended the prayer meet and expressed her sympathy for the family’s loss.

Sonam Kapoor’s nani Draupadi Hingorani Bhambani passed away on Apr 29.

The actress also took to her official Instagram account on the same day her nani passed away and shared a few throwback pics in emotional posts.

She captioned the pics as, “Love you nani, will miss you so much. Thank you for teaching me everything.. 23/5/1928 to 29/4/2017 Draupadi/Duru Hingorani Bhambani always in our hearts.”

Sonam Kapoor’s sister Rhea Kapoor also took to Instagram to share an emotional message mourning the death of her nani.

She wrote, “What a lady, what a legacy. I will always remember you as my spirit and my strength nani. I love you forever. #duru.”

Talking about Arjun Kapoor, the actor will soon be seen in his new film Half Girlfriend along with Shraddha Kapoor.

The trailer and the songs of the film have got a positive response from people.

Arjun and Shraddha will also fly to Dubai to promote the film and they will soon start promoting the romantic drama film in India as well.

Half Girlfriend is based on a Chetan Bhagat’s novel with the same name and the film chronicles the quest of a guy who’s in love with a woman who’s beyond his reach.

The film will hit the theatres on May 19.
