Baahubali 2 screening: Sidharth, Alia, Karan and Rana Daggubati clicked

The much awaited movie of the year, Baahubali 2, is finally hitting the theatres this weekend. Karan Johar had planned a grand, red carpet event today. However, the filmmaker cancelled the promotional event as a mark of respect to the late Vinod Khanna, who passed away today. 

Karan however, caught a screening of the movie along with his muses Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt. The two alleged love birds, who seem inseparable these days, arrived together for the screening event. They were clicked driving to the do by the paps. 

Also seen here is the man of the moment Rana Daggubati. 

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is directed by S. S. Rajamouli. It is the sequel to the superhit movie Baahubali: The Beginning. The movie features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati as Bhallala Deva, Anushka Shetty as Maharani Devasena, Tamannaah as Avanthika, Ramya Krishnan as Sivagami, Sathyaraj as Kattappa, and Nassar as Bijjaladeva.

In the film, Prabhas and Rana play warring brothers who fight over the ownership of an ancient kingdom. Asked about the debate on who is the real hero of Baahubali , he said: "This is a franchise-based film and it's not driven by just one character. If you look at the franchise, each character is important from the perspective of the story. It's the content that even drives all the actors but not any individual's stardom."

He also went on to add that both their characters are equally important.

"We are like Ram and Raavan. Without these two characters, there's no Ramayan. Similarly, without Prabhas and I, there's no ‘Baahubali'. We complement each other as characters and we need each other," he said.
