Remembering Vinod Khanna: Legendary actor's life in pictures

Veteran actor Vinod Khanna passed away in Mumbai today morning at the age of 70. The legendary star was reportedly suffering from cancer and breath his last in Mumbai's Hurkisondas hospital where he was admitted earlier this month.

He was admitted to the hospital after suffering from severe dehydration. 

As soon as the news of his demise broke the internet, shockwaves gripped the entire nation. Many Bollywood celebs and politicians took to twitter to express their grief over this great loss.

Khanna made his Bollywood debut in 1968 as a small second lead or essayed negative role and later went on to star in more than 100 films in his career spanning over five decades. However, after delivering a noteworthy performance as the angry young man in Mere Apne, there was no looking back for the veteran actor. 

The actor then featured in many popular films like Mann Ka Meet, Mere Apne, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Imtihaan, Inkaar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Lahu Ke Do Rang, Qurbani, Dayavaan and Jurm among others.

Khanna with his intense gaze and cute smile soon became the heartthrob of Bollywood. Hailed as one of the most handsome actors, Khanna's death has left a void so deep that is impossible to fill. His charm and camaraderie with his co-stars are irreplaceable.
