Raveena Tandon snapped promoting her movie Maatr in Delhi.
Raveena Tandon looked radiant as she promoted Maatr in the national capital today.
For the promotions, she wore a layered kurta set that had dainty embroidery and mirror work detail. Her color block look was styled with silver earrings from House of Shikha and an E Designs ring. She accentuated her look sporting a pair of metallic pumps.
Raveena is making her silver screen comeback with Maatr. The movie aims to highlight the grim state of women safety in the country and the stark rise in crime against women. In an interview with us, Raveena lashes out at the government for failing to ensure women safety in the country.
Speaking about it, Raveena said, "I strongly believe that if there can be a law passed, a life sentence for killing a cow then definitely a stronger and harsher law should be for the protection of women. They should prove to be a deterrent to these criminals and they should think not once but ten times before even thinking about doing anything like this. And yes, Jayaji [Jaya Bachchan] in the Rajya Sabha said this and I am very proud of her that someone is raising that kind of voice."
She also shared an anecdote with us regarding her meeting with Nirbhaya's mother. Maatr is a story of a strong-willed mother who takes on the system to seek justice for her daughter.
Directed by Ashtar Sayed, the movie is all set to hit the theatres on April 21, 2017.
