Akshay Kumar is clicked here at the launch of retired IPS officer K. Vijay Kumar's book, Veerappan Chasing The Brigand . Akshay tweeted that he was honored to be at the launch saying, "Honoured to be a part of the book launch of the man whom I consider a legend, @KVijayKumarIPS Veerappan #ChasingTheBrigand - a must read!."
Veerappan: Chasing the Brigand is a lucid account of the rise and fall of India’s most dreaded forest brigand. Chronicled by K. Vijay Kumar, IPS, the man who spearheaded the Tamil Nadu Special Task Force (STF) that planned and executed the dreaded bandit’s encounter, the book relives the various incidents that shaped Veerappan’s life – from his birth in Gopinatham in 1952 to his death in 2004 in a shootout in Padi.
Akshay Kumar congratulated M Vijay Kumar for this feat and requested all his well-wishers to read this gripping book.
On the work front, Akshay will next be seen in Padman and Toilet Ek Prem Katha. Padman also features Sonam Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan and is directed by R Balki. Toilet Ek Prem Katha is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and produced by Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey. The film also features Bhumi Pedneka, Anupam Kher, and Sana Khan.
