Manisha Koirala at the My Hair for Cancer event in the city

Today, we spotted Manisha Koirala at an event in the city and as always, she looked beautiful in an Indian avatar. As we all know, Manisha is a cancer survivor as she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012. After fighting cancer and winning the battle, the actress is actively involved in spreading awareness about the disease and therefore, Manisha Koirala made an appearance today at the social cause campaign ‘My Hair for Cancer’- an initiative by Nargis Dutt Foundation and hair care brand Richfeel.

Politician Priya Dutt, as part of the Nargis Dutt Foundation, was also present at the event and posed for the shutterbugs. In an interview to a leading daily, Priya Dutt was quoted as saying, “This is basically an initiative which was started by Nargis Dutt Foundation and RichFeel, who are going to make hair systems for poor cancer patients. Our foundation has always worked in the field of cancer and we are coordinating with CPAA which is another cancer foundation for this cause to get hair donors screened for cancer.”

Soon, Manisha Koirala will be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s movie, which is a biopic on Sanjay Dutt. Yes, the actress will be essaying the role of Nargis Dutt in the movie and in an interview, she said, “To play her is a great honor. She is a legendary figure, no matter how forward we go, or whatever, her name would always be remembered, she would always be tagged as a legendary actor. She is a historical figure of the Bollywood industry.”
