B-town directors meet up at Farah Khan's house for a bash
Farah Khan invited Bollywood's popular directors to her home for a bash.
Bollywood's young and brilliant directors got together for a special evening at Farah Khan's home tonight. Seen here are Ashutosh Gowarikar, Farhan Akhtar, Karan Johar, Sajid Khan, Punit Malhotra, Farah Khan, Kabir Khan, Zoya Akhtar and Goldie Behl. Now, that is some super talent in one place, isn't it?
Kabir shared the pic saying, "Great time at @farahkhankunder house. 9 directors in the house Ashutosh, Farhan, Karan, Sajid, Puneet, Farah, Kabir, Goldie & Zoya... Super photo by Avinash Gowarikar."
Karan shared, "Shot by @avigowariker....all the directors in @TheFarahKhan 's house!!!."
Farah, who married Shirish Kunder in the year 2004, is a proud mom of triplets. Shirish, who has himself directed movies such as Jaaneman and Kriti, is however missing from the epic picture.
Farah Khan is apparently gearing up for her next movie. The movie, which will apparently not feature her favorite star Shah Rukh Khan, is a two-girl project, as the director put it. She had said in an interview, "I have written a script and this time it’s a small script, and it’s not star-driven. It’s a two girls project so still waiting for it to happen because I have not put a big star in it. The thing is, stars make it easier for the project to be green-lit. Otherwise, everyone will question your script 100 times if you have a star saying yes to it give that newspaper cutting and nobody will ask any question that’s the good side and a bad side to it. You tend to work a little less on the content because you have a big star driving on it sometimes. That opening is for sure. With other movies you don’t know it can die in a week. If it’s a great movie by word-of-mouth it grows but that’s one in 100. I think that’s why not only here even in Hollywood when an actor becomes a star and has a certain amount of equity, name everyone wants to cash on it."
Well, that should be interesting!
