Vidya Balan, Gauahar Khan and Pallavi Sharda promote Begum Jaan in Delhi

Begum Jaan is all set to hit the theatres soon but before that, the cast and crew of the movie are leaving no stone unturned to promote the movie. After travelling to different cities, the cast of Begum Jaan was spotted in the capital city.

Before coming to Delhi, the cast of Begum Jaan met the cast of Rajkahini in Kolkata and it was a lovely site to watch Vidya Balan pose with Rituparna Sengupta, who essayed the role of Begum Jaan in Srijit Mukherji’s Rajkahini. In an interview to a leading daily, Vidya Balan was quoted as saying, “I am very happy that I am doing the adaptation of Rajkahini. I am very happy to be part of Srijit’s first Hindi film. You have given so much love to Rajkahini. Of course, it is a very good film. I want you all to love Begum Jaan as well.”       

At the promotions in Delhi, while Vidya Balan stunned in a black sari, Gauahar Khan was wearing a dress by Samant Chauhan and Pallavi Sharda looked pretty in a black lacy dress.

In her forthcoming movie, Begum Jaan, Vidya Balan will be seen playing the role of a brothel’s madam, set in the backdrop of late Indian Independence period of 1947. The cast of Begum Jaan consists of Vidya Balan, Gauahar Khan, Ila Arun, Pallavi Sharda, and Naseeruddin Shah, among others. But for all those who don’t know, Begum Jaan is the Hindi adaptation of National Award-winning filmmaker Srijit Mukherji’s Bengali’s film, Rajkahini. The movie is slated to release on April 14, 2017.
