Photos: When Begum Jaan Vidya Balan met Rajkahini's Rituparna Sengupta

Vidya Balan's Begum Jaan is all set to release this week on April 14, 2017. From the hard-hitting trailer, dialogues to gut-wrenching songs, Begum Jaan looks like one of the strong films of 2017.

Begum Jaan is an official remake of the Bengali film Rajkahini which starred Rituparna Sengupta in the leading role. The film was released in 2015 and received several accolades at film festivals.

Yesterday, Vidya along with her Begum Jaan girls was in Kolkata to promote the film. There, we saw a union of Begum Jaan and Rajkahini girls together and it was a treat to one's eyes.

The official Twitter page of Vishesh Films, who is the producer of Begum Jaan tweeted several pictures from the celebration and the whole team of Srijit Mukherji's both the films surely had a fun time together.

In one of the pictures, we saw Vidya and Rituparna hugging it out and talking to each other while veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt looks on.

Bhatt Sr even tweeted a picture posing with Vidya, Rituparna and Srijit and captioned it saying, "The enigmatic Srijit Mukherjee with two of India's most talented women."

Whereas Srijit shared a group picture with girls from both Begum Jaan and Rajkahini posing for the shutterbugs. He tweeted it stating, "Team #Rajkahini meets Team #BegumJaan - memories rekindled, notes exchanged, hearts connected, history created. @iindraadip @itsmeabir"

Also present at the celebration was Gauahar Khan and Pallavi Sharda who play pivotal roles in Begum Jaan.
