Deepika Padukone's airport look will brighten up your day

Shutterbugs were in for a pleasant surprise today as they bumped into Deepika Padukone at the airport. Spotted here is the lovely actress sashaying around in her ever-so-charming smile.

Back after attending an event hosted in Bangalore earlier during the day, Deepika was seen in a light-coloured floor length anarkali by Sabyasachi with yellow hand painted floral pattern on it. Teaming her look with jhumkis and bindi, the 31-year-old actress was indeed a sight, especially with that dimpled smile.

On the work front, Deepika will be next seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. Also starring rumoured beau Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, the period drama revolves around the life of Queen Padmini.

Essaying the role of Rani Padmini, Deepika will be seen in a royal avatar for the second time in the film. Earlier, she had portrayed the role of Mastani in SLB’s Bajirao Mastani.

While Ranveer will play the role of Alauddin Khilji, Shahid will be seen as Padma-pati aka Rana Rawal Singh in the flick.

Caught amid controversies from the very inception, Padmavati was recently in news for violent protest staged by a fringe Rajput group over the alleged wrongful portrayal of Queen Padmini.

Co-produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Bhansali Productions, the film is slated for a November 17 release.

About the actress’s projects in the West, Deepika has recently clarified that she hasn’t signed any Hollywood project as of yet. She said, “No nothing happening in Hollywood as yet. Would let you know for sure but yes, a lot of films coming on way and I’m happy.”
