Vidya Balan looks gorgeous while promoting Begum Jaan in the city

Nobody wears Indian better than Vidya Balan and the actress proves us right every time she dons a sari. Vidya Balan is on a promotional spree for her latest outing Begum Jaan and every time we spot her, Balan aces the Indian look. Recently, Vidya Balan was spotted in the city promoting Begum Jaan and the ever-so-charming Balan looked ethereal in the red-and-grey sari.

After promoting the movie in various cities across the country, the actress was spotted in Mumbai for the promotions. Given the pre-release hype for Begum Jaan, Vidya was asked if she feels responsible towards her fans for delivering good movies every time, and the actress, in an interview to a leading daily, said, “I feel very grateful that people have those expectations from me even though few of my past films haven’t done well. However, it’s not been a pressure at all.”

Recently, we all saw the first look of the movie but in the second poster, the makers of the film introduces Vidya’s family in the movie. The tag line of the poster reads, ‘Lived as whores, fought as queens.” Taking cue from Raees aka SRK, recently, Viday took to social media and wrote, “Aa rahi hoon main! #BegumJaanFirstLook….”

In her forthcoming movie, Begum Jaan, Vidya Balan will be seen playing the role of a brothel’s madam, set in the backdrop of late Indian Independence period of 1947. The cast of Begum Jaan consists of Vidya Balan, Gauahar Khan, Ila Arun, Pallavi Sharda, and Naseeruddin Shah, among others. But for all those who don’t know, Begum Jaan is the Hindi adaptation of National Award-winning filmmaker Srijit Mukherji’s Bengali’s film, Rajkahini. The movie is slated to release on April 14, 2017.
