Begum Jaan Vidya Balan makes a stylish entry at the airport

The lovely Vidya Balan is clicked here at the Mumbai airport. The power house actress was accompanied by hubby Sidharth Roy Kapur. While Vidya was seen wearing a casual white kurti and a green shawl, Sidharth was seen wearing a grey shirt teamed with denims. The husband and wife were chatty as they headed towards their car. However, Vidya managed to squeeze in a smile for the shutterbugs. 

The actress will soon be seen in the movie Begum Jaan.  Ir is written and directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Mukesh Bhatt, Vishesh Bhatt and Play Entertainment. The movie also stars Ila Arun, 
Naseeruddin Shah, Rajit Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi, Vivek Mushran, Chunky Pandey, Gauahar Khan, and Pallavi Sharda among others.

Vidya Balan plays the lead role of a brothel's madam, set in the backdrop of late Indian Independence period of 1948. It is Hindi remake of the Bengali film Rajkahini. Begum Jaan is loosely based on Shyam Benegal's 1985 movie Mandi.

Vidya had spoken about her role in the movie saying, "The place where she comes from, she abuses a lot and easily. It [cussing] is no big deal. When I was playing the role, there was no apprehension with regard to the language. I can't be Begum Jaan and speak shayarana Urdu." She added jokingly, "All the abuses that I can't give otherwise, I have said it here (in the film)."

The film has been awarded an A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and has been cleared without any cuts, apart from muting a few cuss words.
