Gauri Khan and Shahid Kapoor visit Karan Johar's kids

Karan Johar on Wednesday took home his surrogate twins Roohi and Yash after they spent over seven weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) of a hospital in Mumbai. Karan came to receive his children on Wednesday afternoon. The children were under the care of Bhupendra Avasthi, the director of the hospital.

"The children were admitted on February 7. They were born premature at 30 weeks. They are now 37 weeks old. Today was the 50th day of their admission to the hospital," a source said. We saw pictures of Karan can be seen wearing an all black ensemble while leaving the hospital with his children.

Since then, friends and well-wishers of Karan have been rushing home to visit the little ones. Karan had said about his twins, "I have grown up listening to lot of Hindi film music whether it is Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, Asha Bhosle among others. I want in their (twins's) nursery; some of my favourite music should play all the time."

Seen here is Karan's closes friend Gauri Khan, who was one of the first ones to visit his home. Karan and Gauri have been thick as thieves through the years and have always been there for each other. Also seen is Shahid Kapoor, driving towards the Johar residence. Shahid waved to the paps as he headed to catch a glimpse of little Yash and Roohi.

However, the guests will not be able to spend too much time with the adorable twins. As per a report, Karan's friends are not allowed to meet the babies as they still need some care and are prone to infection.
