South stars dazzle on the first day of IIFA Utsavam 2017

After an official ceremony on Monday, the first day of the second edition of IIFA Utsavam turned out to be a starry affair. The two-day event that is being held in Hyderabad is expected to register the presence of the who’s who of the South film industry including bigwigs like Ram Charan, Mohanlal, Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu among others.

Spotted gracing the green carpet here are Esha Gupta, Rana Daggubati, Akshara Haasan and Ritika Singh.

Rana Daggubati who is currently prepping up for the big scale release of Baahubali 2 hosted the ceremony today and will also be the host on the second day for the grand finale.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Rana said in a recent statement, “IIFA Utsavam is a unique endeavour that raises South Indian cinema to a global platform, allowing the immense talent of the South to be admired universally. I am excited to host the IIFA Utsavam 2017 in Hyderabad and share the stage with some of the most successful actors and technicians from our film industry. I’m certain that IIFA Utsavam will surpass your expectations this year.”

Because the first day celebrated the spirit of Tamil and Malayalam film industries, co-hosting the event were Shiva, Tini Tom and Pearle Maaney.

As far as the second day is concerned, the award ceremony will recognise Telugu and Kannada actors and filmmakers. Nani, Akul Balaji and Meghana Gaonkar along with Rana will be anchors for the star-studded event.

Also spotted at the awards night were Kirti Kulhari, Adah Sharma, Pooja Sree, Rakul Preet Singh and Sneha along with husband Prasanna.
