Shahid Kapoor and Malaika Arora Khan make a splash at the airport

Spotted at the airport today were Shahid Kapoor and Malaika Arora Khan heading in. Donning a semi-formal look, Shahid was seen in a shirt and black denims. Teaming his look with sunnies and a pair of sneakers, the Rangoon star was indeed a treat.

Speaking about his big screen projects, post the Rangoon debacle, Shahid is currently filming for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. Also starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, this would be the 36-year-old actor’s first collaboration with SLB.

Meanwhile, the epic drama from its very inception has been in news for the wrong reasons. First for its skyrocketing budget, then for the cold war reports between the male leads Shahid and Ranveer and now for the most controversial protest as staged by a fringe Rajput group over an alleged wrongful portrayal of Queen Padmini.

Speaking about the recent act of vandalism on the sets in Kolhapur, Shahid had told a leading news channel, “I am aware there has been some disruption that happened, I am aware that a certain amount of costumes got burnt, I am aware everybody is safe and nobody got harmed. The shooting has wrapped up and the team is coming back.”

“What I am not aware of is who has done it. It is unfortunate that something like this has happened for the second time. As soon as there is some more clarity, the production house will respond to it. But no principal actors were there (when the incident happened),” he added.

Co-produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Bhansali Productions, the movie will hit the cinemas on November 17.

Malaika, on the other hand, was snapped in a floral print outfit. Pulling off the look with a kala chashma and a black handbag, the 43-year-old actress looked pretty.
