Anushka Sharma and Kalki Koechlin get snapped at Phillauri screening in Mumbai

A night ahead of the release, Anushka Sharma hosted a special screening of Phillauri for her B-town colleagues in the city. Clicked at the venue here is our very adorable Shashi aka Anushka and Kalki Koechlin.

Flaunting a casual look, the 28-year-old actress was seen donning a white t-shirt teamed with black ripped denims. Pulling off a chic look, the Sultan star appeared to be pretty in neat hairdo.

Kalki, on the other hand, was seen making a rare appearance at a film’s screening and rocked it with her never failing style sense.  In a light-coloured number that was cinched at the waist with a broad belt, the 33-year-old actress looked pretty in her sans makeup avatar.

On the work front, she was last seen in Mantra alongside Rajat Kapoor. Speaking about the movie at the trailer launch Kalki had said,” I liked the script. It is about how we changed when multinationals kicked off into the Indian market in 1991. While the older generation was quite traditional, the new generation wanted freedom.”

“As I have grown up in this time so I can understand this rebellious face. I think the film is a relevant subject for a lot of our generation,” she added.

Also clicked were Sakshi Tanwar along with parents stepping out after the screening, co-producer Karnesh Sharma and director Anshai Lal. 

Meanwhile, speaking about Phillauri- the flick is Anushka’s second venture as a producer after NH 10.

Interestingly, the movie has already recovered a total of Rs 12 crore even before the release through its satellite rights and music earnings.

Produced under the banner of Fox Star Studios and Clean State Films, the romantic comedy also stars Diljit Dosanjh, Suraj Sharma and Mehreen Pirzada.
