B-town celebs grace Aishwarya Rai father’s prayer meet
A host of Bollywood actors are spotted at the prayer meet of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father, Krishnaraj Rai, in Mumbai
Through good times and bad times, B-town is always standing together. Recently, the entire film fraternity came together to pay their last respect to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father, Krishnaraj Rai.
After the funeral at Vile Parle Seva Sansthan Shamshan Bhoomi on Saturday, a host of Bollywood veteran actors attended the prayer meet held in Mumbai today. As Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was accompanied by Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan, we snapped other actors in attendance.
From Neetu Kapoor, Poonam Sinha, Prem Chopra, Jaya Bachchan, Simi Garewal, Mana Shetty to Rima Jain, everyone paid their last respect to the deceased soul.
As soon as Aishwarya’s publicist released a statement, the entire Bollywood sent their condolences and attended the prayer meet. The publicist stated, “Aishwarya’s father Krishnaraj Rai passed away at the Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra.”
Aishwarya’s father, Krishnaraj Rai, breathed his last on March 18 after a prolonged illness. Mr. Rai was suffering from lymphoma cancer, and owing to his critical condition, he was admitted to Lilavati Hospital two weeks ago. Thereafter, he was put on a ventilator at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Unfortunately, Krishnaraj Rai succumbed to the illness and passed away, after undergoing treatment for cancer.
Krishnaraj Rai is survived by wife Vrinda, son Aditya and daughter Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
