An American photographer Mark Bennington recently got his book 'Living The Dream' published which features 112 photographs of Bollywood celebrities including stars like Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor among others.

The book, whose foreword is written by Karan Johar, has been shot over a period of 5 years. When asked about the book, Mark reveals to us, "I had come to India in 2010 and was looking for a project. I didn't know what I would find. I did a tour and went to Jaipur, Agra and Delhi. That is when I decided to come to Mumbai and see what I can do about the idea of the project. I thought of documenting the life of stars. I was told by a friend to stay in Bandra because that is where I would meet all the stars. I did that and ended up meeting a woman who introduced me to a lawyer, who then got me in touch with Guneet Monga. She happened to be free at that time and made me certainly meet some actors."

He continues, "She introduced me to Kalki Koechlin, Kunal Kapoor, Richa Chadda and all these people. I was in Mumbai only for two weeks. Then I went back to LA and returned after 8 months. This time I decided to stay for 2-3 months. I then met Shanoo Sharma and that is when my project changed. She put me in touch with bigger names and celebrities."

While meeting many celebrities, Mark came across many big names. He shared with us his encounter with Dharmendra and Salman Khan. "When I met Dharmendra, I didn't see him as a star that my parents or I have grown up seeing. I could relate to him as someone like my grandfather's friend. He reminded me of that. Same was the case with Salman Khan. He reminded me of a guy whom I went to high school with. These were very personal associations to have with someone who is famous. It breaks down the barrier of fame and enables you to approach them as people and not have any preconceived notion of who they might be."
