Sridevi, Vidya Balan and Raveena Tandon grace Zee Cine Awards 2017
Sridevi, Vidya Balan and Raveena Tandon looked stellar as they attended Zee Cine Awards 2017 today.
The much awaited Zee Cine Awards 2017 were held in Mumbai today. With a bevy of stars making a beeline, the awards night was also graced by Sridevi, Raveena Tandon and Vidya Balan.
Donning an elegant saree teamed with a lovely pair of earrings and a bindi, Vidya looked pretty as she posed on the red carpet.
A neat bun and an endearing smile accentuated her charm at the awards ceremony.
On the work front, post the disappointing performance of Kahaani 2, the 38-year-old actress is prepping up to take the box office by storm with her upcoming next, Begum Jaan.
Vidya is currently on a promotion spree for the same and is hopping from one city to another.
Helmed by Srijit Mukherji, Begum Jaan is set against the backdrop of partition and portrays Vidya as the madam of a brothel.
Speaking of the actress being his first choice for the role Mukherji told a leading daily, “There’s something about Vidya’s face, voice and body language. Frankly, if you think of such powerful roles, you can only think of Vidya or Rani Mukherji. Vidya was my first choice. I can’t think of other actors who can pull off this character.”
Co-produced by Mukesh Bhatt, Vishesh Bhatt and Play Entertainment, the flick also stars Ila Arun, Gauahar Khan and Naseeruddin Shah among others.
Sridevi, on the other hand, was spotted pulling a beautiful Anarkali suit. The 53-year-old actress was accompanied by husband Boney Kapoor and was indeed a treat for the shutterbugs.
On the professional front, she will be next seen in Mom alongside Akshaye Khanna and Abhimanyu Singh.
Clicked in a glamorous gown, Raveena added oomph to the night and that million dollar smile, needless to say, was a class apart.
