Vidya Balan aces the Indian look while promoting Begum Jaan

Every time we snap her wearing Indian, we fall in love with this actress and lately, Vidya Balan has been surprising us with her overdose of Indian-ness. Vidya, visibly, is on a promotion spree for her latest outing, Begum Jaan.

Vidya, wearing designer Sukriti and Aakriti, makes for a pretty picture and we are all smiles for this look. Like all her movies, we are sure that in Begum Jaan, Vidya will own the role of a brothel owner from Punjab. After promoting the movie in Kolkata, the actress was spotted in Mumbai for the promotions. In an interview to a leading daily, Vidya was quoted as saying, “I am coming back from Kolkata after promoting the film. It was a great experience. Right now, I am feeling very excited about Begum Jaan and loving the reactions of people. I am looking forward to the release now.”

Recently, we all saw the first look of the movie but in the second poster, the makers of the film introduces Vidya’s family in the movie. The tag line of the poster reads, ‘Lived as whores, fought as queens.” Taking cue from Raees aka SRK, recently, Viday took to social media and wrote, “Aa rahi hoon main! #BegumJaanFirstLook….”

In her forthcoming movie, Begum Jaan, Vidya Balan will be seen playing the role of a brothel’s madam, set in the backdrop of late Indian Independence period of 1947. The cast of Begum Jaan consists of Vidya Balan, Gauahar Khan, Ila Arun, Pallavi Sharda, and Naseeruddin Shah, among others. But for all those who don’t know, Begum Jaan is the Hindi adaptation of National Award-winning filmmaker Srijit Mukherji’s Bengali’s film, Rajkahini. The movie is slated to release on April 14, 2017.
