Abhishek who was one of the first few celebrities to rush to offer condolences to the Shetty family was present at the prayer meet to support his old friend Suniel.

The 41-year-old was also snapped at the Worli Crematorium as he attended the last rites there. Apparently, Suniel and Jr. Bachchan have a great bond and have also shared the screen space in Dus, LOC Kargil and Rakht.

Abhishek was accompanied by wife Aishwarya and was also seen addressing the shutterbugs with folded hands.

With a bevy of stars clicked at the prayer meet, the Jolly LLB 2 actor also turned up to stand by his Dhadkan co-star. The 49-year-old also met with buddy Bobby Deol during the ceremony.

Also clicked at the meet were Anupam Kher, Farah Khan and brother Sajid Khan.

Suniel Shetty’s father Veerapa Shetty passed away on March 2 at the age of 93. He breathed his last at Breach Candy Hospital at 1:30 am.

His last rites were performed on Thursday itself, which was attended by many B-town celebs including Amitabh Bachchan.

Veerapa Shetty is survived by his wife, son Suniel and daughter Sujata.

Granddaughter Athiya who made her debut in the film industry with Hero also took to social media to share a heartfelt message on his grandfather’s demise and wrote. “And sometimes even a lifetime isn't enough. Until we meet again thank you for being my grandfather. Hope you're happy and at peace wherever you are. Love you Ajja, will miss you forever.”
