Come July, actor Matt LeBlanc will no longer be seen on the screen. Yes, Matt has hinted that he will bid adieu to the world of showbiz once he turns 50. And for all of you thinking, Matt turns 50 on July 25.

For all the avid followers of the hit TV series Friends, this piece of information might disappoint you as Matt is planning his retirement. Remember the dim-witted Joey Tribbiani on the sitcom Friends because looks like, his life as an actor is soon coming to an end. In an interview with a leading daily, Matt LeBlanc said, “I want to retire in m early fifties. I want everything set up. Otherwise you look and go ’50! Whooo, where did that go?’ I’m beginning to take stock. I want retirement accomplished.”

After living the ‘good’ life of an actor, Matt LeBlanc, now, wants to take stock of his life and concentrate on his personal life and spend time with his daughter, Marina, 13, whom he has with his ex-wife, Melissa McKnight. The actor said, “I love it when I’m with my daughter. We make bacon and eggs and sit and talk over how she slept, what she dreamed about, what we should do that day.”

While Friends ran from 1994 to 2004 and since 2016, Matt LeBlanc has hosted the BBC motoring show Top Gear. For all those who don’t know, Matt LeBlanc took over as main host last year after Chris Evans left due to low TRPs and BBC chiefs roped in Matt LeBlanc to rebuild the show. But, it seems that Top Gear is facing another bout of crisis after Matt announced his retirement plans. We will miss you, Joey!
