Like other Bollywood stars, Varun Dhawan too stepped out in the morning to cast his vote at the ongoing BMC Elections 2017 in Mumbai. Varun along with his mother Karuna and brother Rohit Dhawan were snapped by the photogs when they headed to a polling booth in Juhu.

While both Rohit and his mother could cast a vote, Varun Dhawan didn't get a chance to exercise his right, sadly. The actor's name wasn't there in the voter's list and hence he wasn't able to vote. The officials at the polling booth spent time searching for Varun's name but they couldn't and hence the actor went back home.

Dressed in black shorts and a white and peach t-shirt, Varun happily posed for the paparazzi before entering the polling booth. On the work front, the actor is busy promoting his film Badrinath Ki Dulhania that also stars Alia Bhatt.

This is the third time Alia and Varun are teaming up together after their films Student of the Year and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. The movie is slated to release on March 10, 2017 and is directed by Shashank Khaitan. Both Varun and Alia were in Jaipur yesterday for the promotions and returned only last night.

Simultaneously, Varun is also shooting for Judwaa 2 which is directed by his father David Dhawan. The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu and will see Varun in a double role. The movie is a sequel to Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Rambha starrer with the same name.
