Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor rang in his 70th birthday today. His daughters Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor threw a lavish bash for him and invited family and friends from the fraternity. Seen here is Amitabh Bachchan heading towards the birthday bash. Big B is clicked by the paps as he was driving to the venue.
Also seen here is the evergreen diva Rekha. The veteran actress looked breathtaking in a white and golden saree teamed with matching jewellery.
Rekha and Randhir Kapoor have worked in tons of movies together including Dharam Karam, Khazana, Rampur ka Lakshman, Khalifa, Khaccha Chor, to name a few. Big B on the other hand has worked with the birthday boy in movies such as Pukaar, Armaan, Naseeb, and Kasme Vaade.
Other guests seen at the birthday bash were Kareena's good friends Malaika Arora Khan and Amrita Arora Ladak. The Arora sisters are constant companions of the Kapoor sisters and are often spotted hanging out together.
Karisma also shared pictures from the bash saying, "#happy70th#mypapa #weloveyou."
Randhir Kapoor had recently commented about his 70th birthday bash saying, "People want to know whether I'm throwing a party to trumpet my old age. Well, the answer is, yes, but rather than a big bash it'll be an intimate gathering of family and a few close friends. Babita, who is still my wife, and my daughters, Karisma and Kareena, will look after my guests. They are still my family. I have three lovely grandchildren too. Taimur (Kareena's son Taimur Ali Khan) will barely be two months old then but I'm hoping the other two, Samaira and Kiaan (Karisma's children), can come to my party for a little while. But it's a school day, so they may not be able to attend."
