The grand wedding festivities of Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rukmini Sahay have kickstarted in full swing in Udaipur. An elaborate sangeet ceremony on February 8 will take place, followed by the wedding on 9th.
The engagement festivities took place last night. The decor was on the lines of an English vintage garden theme. Neil's grandfather Mukesh's legacy stood out as Neil's father Nitin sang Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai during his thanksgiving speech. An ecstatic Neil stated, "It is brilliant to see the family getting together. I'd like to call the big fat family get-together rather than the big fat Punjabi family. It all just feels like a family holiday"
The proposal was straight out from a Bollywood film where Neil popped the question to Rukmini as he went down on one knee. This was followed by the ring ceremony, some champagne popping, and guests shaking a leg to the beats of DJ Suketu.
While Neil looked handsome in a royal blue tuxedo, Rukmini looked fairy-like in her icy blue gown.
A grand reception will take place on the 17th of February in Mumbai that will see the who's who of Bollywood in full attendance.
