In the wake of a national sentiment against Pakistan and Karan’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil already facing the heat for starring Fawad Khan, it appears that the storyline has gone through a major overhaul.

Manish Malhotra, the movie’s costume designer might have spilled the beans about this change in the plot, which otherwise would have gone unnoticed.

During an interview with Filmfare a month back, Manish was heard talking about his styling for the ADHM cast and revealed that both Aishwarya and Anushka will play Pakistani girls in the movie and their outfits will reflect their culture.

However, in his recent interview with Elle, Manish revealed that Anushka plays a Muslim girl from Lucknow in the movie and her attire in the film will highlight the fashion sense of a contemporary Muslim girl.

So does that mean Karan has eventually given in to the pressure and intends to distance his upcoming ambitious flick from any controversy of the sort ?

Meanwhile, the unrest in the aftermath of Uri attack, followed by a ban on Pak artists continues. And while IMPPA went the MNS way, the producers association has also requested the political party and its supremo Raj Thackeray to let Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees be released peacefully.
