How Virender Sehwag Congratulated Big B on 'Defeating Death'

Amitabh Bachchan is arguably the biggest and most celebrated and iconic star of Indian cinema. His rich baritone and towering personality have helped the megastar win over several fans. And noted former cricketer Virender Sehwag is one of them. The flamboyant former batsman just shared a pic on the social media and recalled how Big B once managed to overcome a life-threatening and serious injury.

“That is why @SrBachchan is the biggest star. Defeated death on this day 34 yrs ago. Score:YamrajJi- 0, Bachchan- 1”, he posted.

For the uninitiated, exactly 34 years back Big B was seriously injured while shooting for Coolie. After being hospitalized, he recovered and completed the film. It was released with a ‘happy ending’ and became a success. Directed by Manmohan Desai, Coolie also featured Rishi Kapoor in the lead.

At present, Big B is gearing up for the release of Pink. He was last seen in Wazir.
