A Dashing Mammootty Bags the Filmfare Award for Best Actor
It seems that there is some great news in store for the iconic Mammootty’s die-hard fans. The legendary actor recently bagged the Filmfare award for best actor and added another feather to his cap. It was his stellar performance in the Malayalam film Pathemari that helped him bag the honour.
Interestingly, the star’s son Dulquer too was one of the nominees for the award.
As expected, the 64-year-old looked absolutely dashing at the event. Moreover, his arrival was met with enthusiasm. Needless to say, Mammootty was in a good mood and posed for a few photos.
On a related note, this was the 13th Filmfare award of his stellar career. It must be said; Mammootty has clearly remained a force to be reckoned with despite the emergence of younger stars. As far as Pathemari is concerned, it was touted to be a period drama. Directed by Salim Ahamed, it earned rave reviews and was described as the perfect ode to Malayalis in the gulf.
