Amul Takes a Jab at Pahlaj Nihalani With this Ad on the Udta Punjab Controversy
It was just a short while ago that the makers of the eagerly-awaited Udta Punjab found themselves in a spot of bother when the CBFC asked them to make as many as 89 cuts to the film. Moreover, they were even asked to drop the word ‘Punjab’ from the title.
Now, Amul has come up with a funny yet biting cartoon ad on the issue. The ad features cartoon versions of the main cast. Furthermore, it carries the funny caption/title ‘Ladta Pahlaj’. Needless to say, with this it takes a jab at CBFC chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani. We are sure; it is bound to grab plenty of attention.
Interestingly, sometime back, Amul had come up with an equally funny ad on the Tanmay Bhat’s spoof video as well.
As far as Udta Punjab is concerned, it is touted to be crime-thriller and has been directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Revolving around the issue of drug abuse, it features an ensemble cast which is headlined by Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
