The first poster of Irrfan Khan’s upcoming film Madaari is out. Known for his fine performances, the actor is back with another offering for the audiences.

Irrfan is seen in a simple avatar dressed in a grey kurta and blue denims, with shoes in his hands. He is also seen wearing a head band. The film seems to be a political satire, as its tagline reads, ‘Desh so raha hai’ (The country is sleeping).

There have been rumours that Madaari is based on Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s meteoric rise in Indian politics, however, the makers have kept mum about it.

Directed by Nishikant Kamat, the film is being co-produced by Shailesh Singh, Madan Paliwal, Sutapa Sikdar, Shailja Kejriwal and  co-produce  by Nishant Pitti and Kshitiz Bhardwaj under Paramhans Creations, Dore Films and Saptrishi Cinevision production banner.
