Meet the ‘Padma Award’ Winners: Rajinikanth, Priyanka Chopra & Sania Mirza

One of the most prestigious honours in the country: Padma Awards' recipients were honoured today by President Pranab Mukherjee. Apart from Rajinikanth, actress Priyanka Chopra and tennis player Sania Mirza received the Padma Shri. Singer Udit Narayan was also awarded the Padma Bhushan.
Though, what made the pictures from the ceremony more special were, when Rajini Sir, PeeCee and Sania were clicked in the same frame. And what was more heartwarming to see, Priyanka and Rajinikanth congratulating each other on their win personally! Now that’s a truly ‘special’ picture – two superstars in one frame.
The Padma Awards were handed out in two separate ceremonies. Actors Ajay Devgn and Anupam Kher and filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar received their Padma Awards from President on March 28.
