LFW '16: Bhumi Pednekar and Shruti Haasan look elegant as the showstoppers!
The theme of the third day of Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016 was inspired from Mughal and Mahal era of India. Designer Anushree Reddy and designer duo Sonam and Paras Modi showcased their collection at the event.
Sonam & Paras Modi's collection was on the theme Mahal En Maroc. Actress Bhumi Pednekar made her stunning ramp debut with this show. She was seen wearing a Sandstone embellished bespoke lantern lehenga with handcrafted bustier and jacket. She looked pretty and elegant in this beautiful outfit. SVA, Sonam and Paras' label is famous for head turning traditional fashion and bridal looks, their collection have a strong aesthetic value of India.
Hyderabad based Anushree Reddy showcased her collection Mughal India at the event. Actress Shruti Hassan was the showstopper for this event. She was seen wearing an exquisite Ivory woven Chanderi Lehenga with intricate scalloped handmade zardozi, with a dash of floral in the most delicate pastel lily print. The beautiful actress was happy to be part of this show wearing such a beautiful lehenga. "My beautiful lehenga by Anushree Reddy is perfect for summer wedding occasions, I felt like a Moghul princess as I walked down the ramp. It was a great feeling to be transformed by Anushree from my usual style to a feminine royal style, also a great way to enjoy our culture yet be relevant in a contemporary context," she said.
Shruti's baby sister Akshara Haasan was spotted with Tanuj Virani who came to cheer the designer and pretty showstopper.
