As far as music lovers are concerned, AR Rahman is a name that needs no introduction at all. During his nearly two-decade-long association with Indian cinema, the “Miozrat of Madras” has redefined the principles of music courtesy his uplifting tunes and tremendous knowledge. Moreover, ARR has also given the International film fraternity a taste of his talents, bagging two Academy awards along the way.

And now, the 49-year-old is all set to add another feather to his cap. In an exciting development, the first look poster of his maiden production venture 99 Songs has been released. Revolving around the struggles faced by aspiring singers, the film is likely to be a Hindi-Tamil bilingual. Its music will be composed by Rahman himself. In fact, the tracks have already been recorded. Judging by the film’s colourful poster, it is likely to be a lively and youthful affair.

On a related note, ARR’s tunes will also be heard in the much-hyped Mohenjo Daro which hits screens later this year.
