In a truly heartwarming development, the world’s youngest Nobel Prize Laureate Malala Yousafai recently attended a private screening of the critically acclaimed Sonam Kapoor starrer Neerja in London. Moreover, the 18-year-old also posed for a few pictures and looked as cure as a button.

For the uninitiated, Malala was shot at by the Taliban in 2012 and suffered injuries. However, being a brave heart, she survived. As expected, the attack on her created quite an uproar internationally. Needless to say, Sonam was thrilled by Malala’s curiosity to see Neerja and thanked her profusely. Moreover, the 30-year-old star also drew a parallel between her character in the film and Malala.

As well all know, Neerja is based on real-life events. It revolves around how flight attendant Neerja Bhanot lost her life while trying to save passengers from terrorists. Besides Sonam, it also features musician-turned-actor Shekhar Ravjiani and veteran actress Shabana Azmi in the lead.

Malala said 'I am stronger than fear' and for #Neerja 'fear gave her courage! Thank you #MalalaYousafzai for attending a private screening of #Neerja in London. I’m so glad you liked the film.
