A chic Sonam leads the Neerja Brigade
Sonam Kapoor’s upcoming film Neerja has already created quite a buzz amongst movie buffs courtesy its captivating promos. Now it seems that the curiosity surrounding the movie is all set to receive a new lease of life. Sonam was recently spotted promoting Neerja at a promotional event.
At the event, the actress opened up about her experiences during the film’s shoot. Needless to say, the Khoobsurat star looked as vivacious as ever and gave proof of her elegant style statement.
Directed by Ram Madhvavi, the film is based on actual events and highlights the life of a brave flight attendant who was killed by hijackers in 1986. Besides Sonam, it also features Shabana Azmi and musician Shekhar in the lead.
Interestingly, the movie comes at a time when heroine-centric films are ruling the roost. Mary Kom and Mardaani are just some of the heroine-centric movies which have found tremendous commercial success over the past few years. As such, it will be worth watching if Neerja too is able to strike a chord will critics and audiences alike. We sure hope it does!
