Madhuri Dixit & other celebs at Aadesh Shrivastava's prayer meet
Much loved musician Aadesh Shrivastava breathed his last on Friday, after succumbing to cancer. He leaves behing his wife Vijeta Pandit and two teenage sons. They are seen here at Aadesh's prayer meet. Aadesh's wife was inconsolable, and understandbly distraught.
However, friends and family stood by the family in this time of sorrow. Not just people from the music industry but several actors and directors came. Apart from the Bachchans, Madhuri Dixit, Rishi Kapoor, Pritam, Shekhar Kapur, Abbas Mustan, Shankar Mahadevan, Udit Narayan, Anees Bazmee, Pandit Jasraj, Jackie Shroff, Jeetendra, Mika Singh, Juhi Chawla, Anu Malik, Kailash Kher, Satish Kaushik, Indra Kumar, Neha Dhupia, Shaan were present.
Amitabh Bachchan had tweeted, "'Chautha' for Aadesh Shrivastava at ISKON, Juhu, tomorrow 8th Sept from 4-6 pm."
Aadesh had been in the industry for the past 25 years as a background score composer, music director and singer. "Sona Sona", "Shava Shavaa" were some of his popular numbers while "Chalte Chalte", "Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham", "Rajneeti" were some of the films he composed music for.
