Pakistan vs Bangladesh, ICC Cricket World Cup 2019: Shakib Al Hasan's battle with Babar Azam to watch out for
Bbar Azam has been Pakistan's go to batsman, while Shakib has shone in all departments in the CWC 2019
Pakistan and Bangladesh will be up against each other at the historical Lord's on Friday in what will be their last game in the World Cup 2019. While the Bangla Tigers have already been ruled out, Pakistan have only a mathematical chance of qualifying - if they win the game by 300+ runs. They will be out if the lose the toss and are sent in to bowl first.
Nonetheless, the battle on the field, promises to be an exciting one with two of the most talented players of the World Cup facing each other. Shakib Al Hasan has been Bangladesh's go-to player, contributing in both departments. He is the second highest run-scorer in the World Cup thus far, but Bangladesh will need him to contribute with the ball as well when they face Pakistan.
The all-rounder has picked up 11 wickets thus far and has kept things tight, and will have a tough job at hand bowling to Babar Azam, who is the in-form batter from Pakistan. He had scored a hundred in the warm-up game and has been consistently getting starts in the edition. In the last six innings, he has scored more than hundred once, more than 60 twice and also has two scores in the 40s.
He, however, tends to struggle against the slower deliveries that cramp him up for room, and if Shakib can stick to his guns, Azam will have a tough job at hand.
